The podcast and audiobooks platform Podimo has firmly positioned itself in the audiovisual landscape by receiving four significant nominations in the third edition of the Global Ondas Podcast Awards in the categories of Best Host, Best Videopodcast, and Best Conversational. This recognition not only underscores the quality and diversity of Podimo's exclusive content but also its commitment to promoting podcast culture in the Spanish-speaking realm.

With a 40% increase in submissions compared to its first edition, the Global Ondas Podcast Awards received 1,252 proposals from 19 different countries this year, solidifying its status as one of the most prestigious awards in the industry worldwide.

Among Podimo's nominees is the podcast ‘Bad People’, which has captivated both the audience and the jury alike, obtaining two nominations in the categories of Best Host and Best Videopodcast. This podcast, presented by Victoria Martín, offers a unique space to explore the complexities of human nature through humor and self-reflection. Its success adds to the excitement for the premiere of its third season, marking another milestone in its journey.

On the other hand, ‘Taste of Queer’, the innovative podcast by David Velduque and Neurads, has also been recognized with a nomination in the Best Videopodcast category. Born exclusively on Podimo, this program invites the audience to question established norms and celebrate diversity, combining in-depth topic discussions with a hopeful and revolutionary tone.

In the Best Conversational category, the podcast ‘Do You Want to Be My Friend?’ by Mario Marzo and Dane Rivarola has been nominated for its ability to transform everyday conversations into moments of pure entertainment. Through more than 100 episodes, these creators have managed to create a space where friendship and humor intertwine masterfully.

Isabel Salazar, country manager of Podimo in Spain, has expressed her pride in these nominations, highlighting Podimo's commitment to developing the podcast industry in Spain and its role as the main sponsor of the awards in 2024. “Our goal at Podimo is to support the development of the podcast industry in Spain. In this regard, the Ondas Podcast Awards seem to us a key pillar for continuing to make the work of creators and producers visible,” Salazar stated.

The awards ceremony, which will be held in June at the Teatro Circo Price in Madrid, promises to be a standout event in the cultural calendar, recognizing talent and creativity in the Spanish-speaking podcast world. With these nominations, Podimo reaffirms its position as a leader in quality content and a key sponsor in the industry, paving the way for the future of audiovisual entertainment.
