Nuria Roca y Juan del Val se lanzan al mundo del pódcast con ‘Cita Doble’
Apr 19, 2024
After more than 20 years of marriage, the media couple formed by Nuria Roca and Juan del Val had something left to share: a podcast. 'Cita Doble' is the space where, alongside other couples, "the presenter and the addition" will talk about everything related to relationships, from reconciliation to political ideologies within the couple.
The first episode starts from the topic "love has no age," but does this extrapolate to relationships? Do they have an age? To find out, Nuria and Juan sit down with former tennis player Feliciano López and model Sandra Gago, who are 42 and 28 years old, respectively. Together they will discuss how they face external comments, the generational clashes they experience day by day, and will answer the key question: who of the two is really more of a boomer.
The episode begins with Nuria asking the most important question: how the guests met and if they were aware of the age difference between them. "It was clear that I was young, but having started working super young, I had matured and flown away before the normal time. What I felt with him I hadn't felt before, I fell in love and said: 'Go for it'," says Sandra Gago.
Both confess that the announcement of their relationship publicly was unexpected and caused discomfort with the press. "I don't know how they found out, we were in Paris each for our own reasons, and upon returning to Spain, we were news," comments Feliciano. Meanwhile, Sandra refers to the change in her life: "I went from nobody knowing me to being mentioned in the media. It caught me a bit by surprise and in the press, not really, but there were comments that I seemed like his daughter."
Nuria emphasizes the formalization of the relationship since, after only two years together, Feliciano and Sandra got married and shortly after had their first child, something that Sandra responds to by saying that "she was clear that she wanted to be a young mother." On the other hand, Feliciano comments that when they considered having children, he had to mentally prepare for the fact that when they are 20, he will be over 60. In fact, he even says he would have liked to have been a father younger.
To end the episode, Nuria and Juan challenge the guests to pick up a coaster from the table and answer the question that comes up. This time, what three things can you not stand about your partner?
