‘Science or Evidence’ is the podcast that resolves your medical, sexual, and sometimes even mystical doubts. It provides a space from anonymity to openly address the questions that can arise for anyone. It’s as easy as sending an audio note to the number 686 595 586, and David Callejo and Eva Rojas solve it with a scientific basis and a touch of everyday life so we can understand it.

During the three seasons that ‘Science or Evidence’ has aired, topics such as mental health, grandmother's remedies, sex, addictions, diseases that embarrass us, or how our brain works have been addressed.

As a journalist specializing in sexuality, writer, and social media communicator, Noemí Casquet has contributed her knowledge and professionalism in ‘Science or Evidence’ on topics such as expanded orgasms, what chakras are and where they are located, an introduction to tantric practices, dancing as a language in sex, or our sexual future linked to our past.

Noemí Casquet has been educating about a taboo topic like sex for thirteen years, exclusively researching sexuality. One of her aims is for humanity to realize the importance of sex; she adds, “Maintaining education on this topic for so many years is very difficult because you are labeled as many things. I don’t have a plan B; if I don’t do this, I die.”

When asked why sex is taboo, the specialist argues the principle of this by explaining that one of the great losses lies in ancient civilizations, which have a history of ancestral wisdom related to sexuality and spirituality, which they now deny. She mentions that in India there are many taboos about sexuality and that they have many philosophies that have contributed to this world, such as the Kama Sutra or tantric practices. Following this line, she approaches Christianity saying that, especially for women, sexuality has been kidnapped and subjected to male pleasure for centuries.

During this talk, Noemí Casquet discusses a little-treated topic with little social knowledge, such as tantra. She claims: “Five years ago, I had a cosmic orgasm that changed my life.” She explains that cosmic orgasms are the highest point of tantra, considered expanded orgasms throughout the body, unlike common ones that usually involve the genitals. “We often confuse passion with being quick. Passion is intensity, and there’s nothing more intense than a slow caress.”

Another topic she dives into is the taboo that exists about sex among children and adults, affirming that we need to establish foundations from the age of two until our death. She explains the importance of sexual education from birth from the perspective of talking to children about consent and sexual self-esteem. “The goal is not for a six-year-old to know how to have sexual relationships, but to identify if they suffer abuse; they are given the power of ‘no’.” Noemí states. Regarding the issue of early ages, she adds that a social problem is that in our society, it is thought that pornography is our real life, and the first viewing of this usually occurs at the age of eight.

One of the latest topics they share opinions on is about open relationships. Noemí Casquet explains on this topic saying: “Monogamy is a belief built on many issues, including that monogamy is the sacrifice we have to make to show the other person that we love them.” As a reflection from her experience in sexual education, she adds that generally, open relationships are perceived as loving less, but she believes that we love more. She concludes by adding, “Love is not solely romantic; we have many kinds of love and consequently many possibilities. I believe that I am nobody to interfere in my partner’s personal experience; what I am building with that person does not interfere with anything else.”
