Don't you know Moderna de pueblo yet?

Moderna de Pueblo is a comic character created in 2010 by Raquel Córcoles (Reus, 1986) as a project to apply for a Carné Joven scholarship, which allowed her to publish her first work “Soy de Pueblo” (2011, Glenat).

It continued to grow both on social media and in various collaborations in magazines, until she published “Los capullos no regalan flores” (2013, Penguin Random House) and “Cooltureta: la novela gráfica” (2014, Penguin Random House) alongside Carlos Carrero (Madrid, 1984), who would continue working with her on Moderna de Pueblo and co-writing the subsequent comics to the present.

In November 2017 Moderna de Pueblo published its fourth comic, “Idiotizadas,” which has currently sold over 100,000 copies, making it the best-selling comic in Spain.

In 2020 they published “Coñodramas,” which is currently in its 5th edition.

Who is Henar Álvarez?

Henar Álvarez is a comedian with a long career in the media. In addition to working in humor, she has extensive experience as a screenwriter and presenter in radio and television. Currently, she presents Buenismo bien (Cadena Ser), along with Quique Peinado and Manuel Burque, Esto es un late (Twitch) with Míster Jagger, and collaborates on Estirando el chicle and A vivir que son dos días. In recent years, we have also seen her acting in fiction series such as Sin Novedad (HBO), En casa (HBO), and Válidas. She directed and co-presented Tramas Maestras, a radio program with Leticia Dolera on La Ser, wrote feminist columns in El Confidencial, was a screenwriter for Hoy por hoy and a collaborator on TV programs Likes, Las que faltaban, Late Motiv with Andreu Buenafuente, and La primera pregunta de TVE. She has also started in graphic novels with her first book La mala leche published by Planeta.
