The podcast and audiobook platform Podimo will launch 40 new original podcast programs in Spanish over the next four months, becoming the leading podcasting platform with new original content in Spanish.
Among the highlights is the docuseries “El Triángulo,” an original podcast about the inner workings of the terrorist group GAL written by Antonio Rubio with the participation of José Amedo and Pilar Zabala, co-produced by TheFacto and El Cañonazo, which will premiere exclusively at the beginning of September on Podimo.
The investment made by Podimo to generate this catalog of original and exclusive content in Spanish exceeds one and a half million euros.
Another of the great novelties from Podimo is the exclusive new season of one of the most listened to podcasts in Spain, El Grupo, by Silvia Abril and Toni Acosta, who are launching their new season exclusively on Podimo with a renewed format and new name, “Las del Grupo.” With this project, Abril and Acosta have positioned themselves at the forefront of the humor and comedy category in Spain. Each episode, which lasts roughly half an hour, is a conversation where humor is the basis of the discussion, and laughing at themselves is their leitmotiv. ‘Las del Grupo’ is a podcast in which they unleash their complicity and sense of humor between two good friends and colleagues.
Another of the great novelties for the autumn will be the second season of the podcast “Sintonías infrecuentes” by President Felipe González, which will feature five new episodes focusing on analyzing the situation and trends in Latin America through conversations with politicians and experts from across the Atlantic.
There will be more launches by the end of the year, such as the addition of YouTuber Carles Tamayo, who is responsible for the Tamayo Stuff channel with over three hundred fifty thousand followers, with his podcast “Disidencia Controlada,” a space where we delve into the most astounding conspiracy theories in history. The girls of “Keep it cutre” are also back, an entertainment podcast presented by the hilarious Ángela Henche and Albanta San Román that has received a fabulous reception; we will also enjoy established shows like “¡Sí es lo que parece!”, the first reality podcast of a real couple in Spanish; we will hear Judith Tirado with her curiosity podcast “No te lo habías preguntado,” and “Mi patio de vecinas” with the great interviews that Alma Andreu, “La forte”, is known for. Listeners will be able to enjoy a second season of the series The Missing, featuring some of the major disappearance cases in Europe, and discover another great novelty, the documentary series “El misterio del paso Diatlov.”
By the end of this year, Podimo will have a catalog of 200 original and exclusive podcast programs in Spanish, representing an immense catalog of nearly 2,500 podcast episodes, becoming the leading podcasting platform with original content in Spanish.
During the autumn, Podimo will continue supporting emerging podcasts through its Audience Monetization Program, through which this summer podcasts like “No es una chapa cualquiera” by YouTuber Kikillo, the podcast “Lo hablamos todo” by female content creator Rochi, or “Está pasando radioshow”, by Pepo Márquez and Borja Prieto, have published a season exclusively on the platform and received extra income along with intense promotion of their content, in addition to the opportunity to access funding for the next season of their podcast.
