Nov 26, 2020
Yesterday, November 25, the world football star Diego Armando Maradona passed away at the age of 60. Following the sad news, we at Podimo would like to bring you closer to the life of one of the most important figures in football history through the podcast “The ball does not get stained,” a journey through his entire career on the field and a review of his best moments. In tribute to Diego Armando Maradona, we have decided to release the first episode openly so it can be listened to on all platforms.
‘The ball does not get stained’ is a space hosted by Argentine journalist Lalo Zanoni, one of the most recognized biographers of Maradona. “If football is music, Maradona is Frank Sinatra and Carlos Gardel. If football is rhythm, Diego is Fred Astaire and Michael Jackson, because besides the ball, number 10 loves music,” so begins one of the episodes of the program, where the most personal side of the Argentine footballer and coach is revealed, getting to know the star behind the cameras, his day-to-day life.
This content is part of Podimo's Premium area. However, we want to pay tribute to an irreplaceable figure in the pop culture of the 20th and 21st centuries by releasing the first chapter of this podcast for all digital platforms. This decision marks the first time that we at Podimo make content available for free and outside of our platform that was previously only available through subscription.
From this moment on, you can listen to the first episode of “The ball does not get stained” on the following platforms:
Google Podcasts
The program hosted by Zanoni premiered just a week ago exclusively on our app, where the first 4 episodes of the 10 that will make up the season are already available, each lasting 10 minutes. Every Wednesday, a new episode to discover how the life of the myth, the legend, and the person was: Diego Armando Maradona
