Nuria Roca and Juan del Val dive into the world of podcasting with 'Cita Doble'
Apr 19, 2024
After more than 20 years married, the media couple formed by Nuria Roca and Juan del Val had something left to share: a podcast. ‘Cita Doble’ is the space where, together with other couples, “the presenter and the addition” will talk about everything related to relationships, from reconciliation to political ideologies within the couple.
The first episode stems from the saying “love knows no age,” but does this extrapolate to relationships? Do they have an age? To find out, Nuria and Juan sit down with former tennis player Feliciano López and model Sandra Gago, who are 42 and 28 years old respectively. Together they will talk about how they cope with external comments, the generational clashes they experience daily, and they will answer the key question: who of the two is really more of a boomer.
The episode begins with Nuria asking the most important question, how the guests met and if they were aware of the age difference between them. “It was clear that I was young, but starting to work super young, I had matured and flown before the normal time. What I felt with him, I had not felt before, I fell in love and said: ‘Let’s go forward’,” says Sandra Gago.
Both confess that the announcement of their relationship publicly was unexpected and generated discomfort with the press. “I don’t know how they found out, we were in Paris each for our own reasons, and when we returned to Spain, we were news,” comments Feliciano. Meanwhile, Sandra refers to the life change she experienced: “I went from no one knowing me to being mentioned in the media. It caught me a bit by surprise, and in the press, no, but there were indeed comments that I seemed like his daughter.”
Nuria emphasizes the formalization of the relationship since, after only two years of dating, Feliciano and Sandra got married and soon after had their first child, to which Sandra responds that “I was clear that I wanted to be a young mother.” On the other hand, Feliciano comments that when they considered having children, he had to prepare himself for the fact that when they are 20, he will be over 60. In fact, he goes on to say that he would have liked to have been a father younger.
To conclude the episode, Nuria and Juan challenge the guests to pick up a coaster from the table and answer the question that comes up. This time, what three things do you not tolerate about your partner?
