¡New voices are coming to Podimo!

Jun 7, 2023

We are sure that all of you have done that thing of judging a book by its cover. Sometimes it can turn out well, and other times you end up bringing home a book that after reading it will remain on the shelf. Here at Podimo, we know that you judge by the cover, and that's why our designer, Jose, tries to make them as appealing as possible. However, many times we miss out on shows that could mark us or delight us, just like we leave the book that will define us waiting for us at the bookstore.

That's why today we dedicate this post to introducing you to the new shows that we have premiered in May and the new voices joining the Podimo family. Don't be judgmental and give them a chance; surely one of them will surprise you.

May began with Mario Marzo and Dane. The two have been making friends for 80 weeks in their other podcast ‘Do you want to be my friend?’. In those 80 weeks, we experienced their friendship and some of the most important moments of their lives: Mario's wedding, the announcements of their first parenthoods, and the new adventures of Mario's twins. For this reason, they decided to make a podcast about parenthood. Both are funny, charismatic, and, why not say it? Role models for many men and women who are dealing with the impending arrival of babies in their family. In ‘Do you want to be my dad?’ you will hear the best anecdotes from our protagonists, the updates that Dane gives about his wife's pregnancy, or the madness that Mario is experiencing while dealing with two babies growing up at the same time. Whether you have children or not, give them a chance because laughter is guaranteed. And if parenthood doesn't convince you...every other Sunday you can listen to a special bonus of ‘Do you want to be my friend?’ on Podimo.

For fans of styling and fashion, in May ‘All that she wants’ premiered. Erea Louro is a fashion stylist who has made the leap to podcasting to explain where the references in the looks that appear in movies, series, music… come from. With her, you will start to see the culture around you from a different perspective. This is not just a fashion podcast, but in it, you can pick up some tips to implement your own style.

Continuing with consulting and humor:

Daniel Fez and Javi Sancho kicked off with ‘Wow, the mediocre podcast’, a podcast in which both comedians will personally advise you on your problems. I'm sure that over this month, you've had some moments of desperation. Don't think about it and try this inexpensive therapy. You just have to pick up the phone and open up so that Daniel and Javi can try to advise you. As they say: it may not help you at all, but you vent, and they tell you things to show that they are worse off than you. You know what they say: misfortune shared is misfortune halved.

Error after error guitar, error after error Rubén, listen error after error and have a great time. Okay, yes, I modified the tongue twister a bit, but the guys from ‘Error after error’ deserved it. Rubén and Antón are two comedians who will also cure all your woes. Every week you are in charge of telling your worst (or best, depending on how you see it) anecdotes for Ruben and Antón to comment on and for all of us to have a good laugh. Plus, you can be part of the podcast and help them decorate the set. Don’t miss the laughs, listen to ‘Error after error’.

Lastly, in May the podcast to watch with family was launched. ‘The gap’ confronts the biggest generational barriers between young people and “veterans”. Juan Amodeo and Julio Muñoz will confront the most controversial topics between generations for you. What music is better, that of the past or that of now? Are the series better then or now? Was it better to flirt in a bar or on Tinder? Enjoy this podcast while respecting both points of view and try to provide your arguments to be on the winning side of the week. I hope to see you debating at home!

And that's it for all the premieres in May, which are not few. Come on, cheer up, they are sure you’ll like and then you will be the one to say: !!!Don’t judge a podcast by the cover!!!
