Over 30 latinamerikanske skabere satser på podcastformatet
Jan 18, 2021
Over 30 Latin American creators are betting on the podcast to tell their new stories, whether they are fiction or non-fiction, a format that will soon crown itself as one of the main formats in the audio content market. Our goal is to become the reference app for listening to all kinds of audio content in Spanish related to the spoken word: podcasts, audiobooks, audio series, sound fiction, audio versions of literary festivals (such as the FILBA or the Hay Festival), audio versions of newspaper articles and magazine reports, among other audio content.
Experts in all types of subjects, journalists, writers, celebrities, and influencers have seen that the podcast allows them to connect directly with their audiences in a very dynamic and entertaining way. From Mexico, among many others, the acclaimed sports commentator Alberto Lati will take us to the most important stadiums in the world in a football safari. Likewise, we will encounter the prestigious journalists Sandra Romandía and Rossana Fuentes Berain, who will guide us through one of the most comprehensive investigations ever conducted on the phenomenon of the murdered women of Juárez, Forgotten. The writer and journalist Alberto Tavira ventures into the world of podcasting with Podimo to exclusively share the secrets of the great power dynasties.
Also from Mexico, Pamela Cerdeira joins us with Extraordinarios Latinoamérica, a podcast that allows us to discover Latin American characters who are already established as great agents of change, as well as writers of the stature of Antonio Ortuño, Francisco Payo, and Diego Petersen, whose writing will give voice to the fiction podcasts with which we begin our journey in Latin America at Podimo. Additionally, the program Co-Nexión will be launched exclusively, hosted by Sissi Cancino, which will address an urgent topic in these times: the use and consumption of technology among children.
It is worth mentioning Elena Bazán, a writer and entrepreneur, who in Central Home Office will share with the audience the best tips for surviving – and enjoying! – working from home in the context of a constantly changing reality. To close with a flourish, we will also have access to the work of journalist Alejandro Almazán, who exclusively for Podimo will reconstruct one of the most chilling criminal episodes of recent years.
From Argentina, powerful voices are also joining the Podimo catalog that will give a lot to talk about. It is worth mentioning, for starters, La pelota no se mancha, a podcast by Lalo Zanoni about the life, nothing more and nothing less, of Diego Armando Maradona. In Andinas, Aldana Cal and Carla Maliandi will take us on a journey through the Andes mountains to tell us the story of the great women whose lives are intertwined with the mountain range; while in White Fever, Agustina Larrea and Tomás Balmaceda will take us into the depths of Antarctica, the most strange and inhospitable region of the planet: the least known and the one that holds the most secrets.
The author Bibiana Ricciardi leaves nothing unsaid in Cannibals, which collects the most chilling stories of the most famous cannibal killers on the continent. In The Tide, we witness the story of the “Ni una menos” movement, written and narrated by its protagonists, Paula Rodríguez, Ingrid Beck, and Florencia Alcaraz. In Se va la Segunda, the famous journalist Ronnie Arias offers us a delightful cycle of interviews; and in Bolívar, the writer and journalist Florencia Canale presents us with an unpublished portrait of the great hero of the continent. Carolina Bugnone and Melisa Fernández offer us in Chechu te ayuda a parodic satire of the typical therapeutic help podcast.
In Hoy Trasnoche presents: Mató Mil, Fiorella Sargenti and Santiago Calori will send chills down our spines with the recounting of several chilling crimes. Finally, at Podimo we will have an exclusive series of “short-pods” with 45 episodes of General Interest, where Juan Beli allows us to learn something new in five minutes in a fun and super original way. Eduardo Sacheri, finally, will let us know the professor behind the writer and will take us to discover the other side of Argentine history.
Joining the Mexican and Argentine voices are Renato Cisneros and Gustavo Rodríguez from Peru, and the famous podcaster and influencer Dani3Palacios from Colombia, who will contribute an exclusive season where he will reveal the twelve most terrible serial killers in Latin America with real and terrifying stories of cases that have marked these events in the region. From Chile, and with the help of Emisor Podcasting, Podimo users will have access to Erased, an extraordinary science fiction series that reveals what the real threat and currency will be in the near future. Also from Chile, José Ignacio “Chascas” Valenzuela joins as a creator of sound fictions.
