Bagom Kvinde Kend Din Historie sæson 2
Aug 3, 2020
Is there a special focus this season?
This season we are not only talking about Danish women but also have an international perspective. It is something I have really looked forward to opening up a bit in the podcast.
How do you find and select the women you want to portray in the podcast?
There are SO many fascinating women in history, so it's quite a challenge to choose. But I try to cover as much ground as possible. And this season, my followers on Instagram have also given their suggestions for interesting women, and I have tried to accommodate that.
Is there anything that has surprised you in the work for the podcast? Have you learned something new?
Every time I have a guest in the studio, I learn something new, and I am SO grateful that so many wise people want to come to the studio and share their knowledge. And it has also surprised me a lot that I receive many messages from listeners who love my voice. I really did not see that coming!
Is there an episode/person in the new season that you are particularly happy about?
The first episode is about Kate Bush, who is my own great role model in everything she does. It was a very special experience to record that episode, and I think it has become a really good episode!
What feedback have you received on the first season of "Woman, Know Your History"?
I am overwhelmed by the positive feedback I have received on the podcast. People write that they become wiser, some get angry on behalf of women, but mostly many reflect on their own lives and how it relates to history. Many also emphasize that the intro moves them a lot. I sat alone and edited it together in my living room about a year and a half ago, and it is wildly cool to feel that it works as I dreamed it would!
